The gearbox housing is the main component of airsoft guns. A durable well-designed gb housing is essential to building a durable gun. With low-quality or factory gearbox housings, it may happen that the housing breaks from the high energy within a short time after a stronger spring is inserted.
Gearbox material
In most cases, gearbox housings are made of two types of materials.
In the case of factory weapons, the so-called spiater (aluminum-zinc alloy) material is typical, but reinforced and durable ones can also be purchased from these. The other is CNC aluminum , they are much more durable and can handle even M150 springs without any problems.
