Airsoft propellant
Airsoft propellant gas is a special gas used for airsoft gas powered weapons. These weapons are usually powered by a gas engine that is used to launch projectiles. Airsoft propellant plays an important role in the performance and operation of the gun. Airsoft propellants can be of several types and each has its own characteristics and advantages. Some common airsoft propellant types:
-
Green Gas : Green Gas is one of the most common airsoft propellant types. A mixture of butane and propane that is under pressure. Green Gas provides a stable shooting effect and reliable performance, and is generally easy to obtain. Specially designed for some airsoft guns.
-
Red Gas : Red Gas is a more powerful and higher pressure propellant that increases projectile speed and power. Its use is generally recommended if the airsoft gun is suitable for it and if the rules of the playing area allow it. This gas is generally better adapted to cold weather conditions.
-
CO2 : CO2 cartridges are also used as a propellant for airsoft guns. These cartridges contain high-pressure carbon dioxide and operate the guns reliably. It is usually used for more powerful projectiles and is often applied to pistols or shorter weapons.
-
Propane: Propane can also be used as an airsoft propellant, especially by players looking for a more cost-effective alternative to Green Gas. However, propane must be treated with a special adapter and lubricant for safe and effective use.
It is important to use airsoft propellant only according to the specifications of the particular gun and always follow the rules of the playing field and airsoft gun safety regulations. Caution is important when using and handling airsoft propellants, especially because of the fire hazard that gases under pressure can pose.
